There once was two guys who were walking in the words. They happened to come across a hole in the ground. For some reason, they wanted to see how deep the whole was. So, they decided to drop things in it to see how long it would take
for them to hear it hit the bottom. The longer the time it took to hit the bottom, the deeper the whole. So, they began throwing things in the hole. First a stone. They couldn't hear when it dropped so they decided to throw something a little larger
They chose a larger rock and threw that in. Nothing. "This must be a reallydeep hole the first guy said to the second guy. Let's look for bigger things."
So, they found a really big rock and threw that in hoping to hear something. Nothing. "This is impossible" said the second guy, "We need to find something really big."
So, they went off to look for something larger and came across a railroad tie. Between the two of them they managed to move the tie off the track and drag it to the hole. Then they threw it in. They couldn't hear anything.
Just then, they heard a noise behind them. They looked behind them and saw a goat running fast and furious towards them. The goat was kicking up dirt and brushing aside debris as it ran right towards them. The two guys parted and the goat ran
between them and fell right into the hole. The guys listened and hoped to hear a noise but didn't hear anything. Then they looked at each other in amazement. Things like that certainly don't happen everyday... They shrugged and laughed still shocked
They heard another noise behind them and looked back to find a man walking towards them. "Excuse me" said the man, I am looking for my goat."
"Well" said one of the guys, "The most amazing thing just happened." And he described what had happened. "Well" said the man, "That couldn't have been my goat, my goat was tied up to a railroad tie."
